Julia Austin
Biography
Julia Austin is a Senior Lecturer at Harvard Business School’s Rock Center for Entrepreneurship where she currently teaches Startup Operations. For many years she taught Product Management and was the faculty lead of Startup Bootcamp. Julia is also a certified Executive Coach, board member, startup advisor and angel investor as well as the founder of Good For Her, a non-profit community for founders who identify as women that fosters their growth as they navigate their entrepreneurial journeys.
Julia has been a part of the startup scene since the 90s, when she was an early employee at Akamai and became VP of Engineering. Later she was VP of Innovation for VMware and the CTO at DigitalOcean. She has held technical management and consulting positions at several other startups and mature companies. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from Boston University.
